What is the purpose of these DAIKIN PAC external module cards?

The EC0417 filter card is integrated into the outdoor unit of DAKIN heat pumps. It manages communication between the outdoor unit and the indoor unit. The power board, or PC0417 inverter board, manages energy distribution to critical components such as the compressor and fan. These two electronic boards are attached to each other by harnesses and communicate with each other to control the heat pump, its power and its operation.

Known faults on DAIKIN heat pump control panels

The EC0417 and PC0417 board duo can fail. The most frequent failures we encounter are a fan failure and a short-circuit problem: this may be due to the malfunction of one or more electronic components. The control panel built into the indoor module may also display the following error message: “communication fault”. In some cases, the problem may be indicated by a green LED that no longer lights up, or some other warning signal.

Once the part has been received in our workshops, one of our specialized electronics technicians will draw up a breakdown diagnosis and a repair plan. You will receive your quotation in your customer area and by email. The service will be carried out once your quotation has been signed and paid for.


    Warranty: Parts repaired in our workshops are guaranteed for 1 year from the date of repair. This means that if your equipment breaks down again or has a problem within the warranty period, we will pay for transport, any new spare parts and any other services required to keep it running smoothly.


    Timescale: On average, we repair your equipment within 72 hours (from the time we receive it to the time it leaves our workshops). For a more precise estimate of your repair service, please consult the “Estimated service time” section. In the event of an emergency repair, we can offer you an “express lead time” option, so that your part can be taken care of in our workshops within 24 to 48 hours.
