What is the purpose of Reich’s 3-pin wiring harness?
A motorhome electrical cable connects two or more electronic components of an electrical system in the vehicle. It usually runs from the control unit or electrical block to a control panel, household appliance or cabin equipment. In the case of Reich’s 12V wiring harness, the connectors link the electrical block with the motorhome’s refrigerator. It consists of 3 electrical channels and 2 3-pin connectors compatible with the electric combination and the fridge. This adapter is used to distribute 12V power between these two components.
Problems you may encounter on a Reich cable :
Electrical wiring harnesses on motorhomes, caravans, vans and panel vans can become damaged over time. They may be oxidized, broken or, in some cases, cracked. A damaged electrical cable or broken connector can cause false contact on your electrical equipment. This means that one of the two pieces of equipment is no longer working, as electricity is no longer passing between the control unit and the refrigerator. If a connector pin or stud is bent or damaged, this can result in poor contact, as the connector is dried out.
How to repair the electrical cable on a motorhome or caravan fridge?

How can I have it repaired? And how much does the repair cost?
Transport and delivery: You have the option of using our transport service to ship the faulty part from your company. Once your request has been approved by our team, you'll receive a shipping label to stick on the box in which you've packed your part. In this case, the cost of transporting your part is €34 round trip (€21 one way and €13 return). You can also choose to ship the part yourself, or hand-deliver it to our workshop in Couëron (44).
Repair rates: For repair services, we draw up customized estimates based on the characteristics of your part and the faults or problems encountered. Once the part has been received in our workshops, one of our specialized electronics technicians will draw up a breakdown diagnosis and a repair plan. You will receive your quotation in your customer area and by email. The service will be carried out once your quotation has been signed and paid for.
Warranty: Parts repaired in our workshops are guaranteed for 1 year from the date of repair. This means that if your equipment breaks down again or has a problem within the warranty period, we will pay for transport, any new spare parts and any other services required to keep it running smoothly.
Timescale: On average, we repair your equipment within 72 hours (from the time we receive it to the time it leaves our workshops). For a more precise estimate of your repair service, please consult the “Estimated service time” section. In the event of an emergency repair, we can offer you an “express lead time” option, so that your part can be taken care of in our workshops within 24 to 48 hours.
