What is an XS-DRIVE radio remote control?
The XS-DRIVE radio remote control from HIAB is equipped with six levers, designed primarily for cranes that require several tools to operate. The control module can also be connected to manual cranes. HIAB’s XS-DRIVE radio remote control ensures remote control, versatility and crane precision. Equipped with six control levers, it can simultaneously manage several tools (lifting, rotation, extension, etc.), optimizing productivity on worksites. Thanks to its wireless connection, it offers the operator total mobility and enhanced visibility of the work area. Compatible with both automatic and manual cranes, it enhances operating flexibility. Its robustness and reliability make it an essential tool for demanding work environments, while guaranteeing operator safety.
What are the most common failures of an XS-DRIVE remote control?
The XS-DRIVE radio remote control may experience faults, such as start-up failures. This may be due to radio interference, loss of signal due to an obstacle or excessive range, poor pairing between devices, or a hardware fault. A button or joystick failure results in a loss of responsiveness or incorrect interpretation of commands. This can be the result of mechanical wear, electronic failure or exposure to adverse environmental conditions, such as humidity or dust.

How can I have it repaired? And how much does the repair cost?
Transport and delivery: You have the option of using our transport service to ship the faulty part from your company. Once your request has been approved by our team, you'll receive a shipping label to stick on the box in which you've packed your part. In this case, the cost of transporting your part is €34 round trip (€21 one way and €13 return). You can also choose to ship the part yourself, or hand-deliver it to our workshop in Couëron (44).
Repair rates: For repair services, we draw up customized estimates based on the characteristics of your part and the faults or problems encountered. Once the part has been received in our workshops, one of our specialized electronics technicians will draw up a breakdown diagnosis and a repair plan. You will receive your quotation in your customer area and by email. The service will be carried out once your quotation has been signed and paid for.
Warranty: Parts repaired in our workshops are guaranteed for 1 year from the date of repair. This means that if your equipment breaks down again or has a problem within the warranty period, we will pay for transport, any new spare parts and any other services required to keep it running smoothly.
Timescale: On average, we repair your equipment within 72 hours (from the time we receive it to the time it leaves our workshops). For a more precise estimate of your repair service, please consult the “Estimated service time” section. In the event of an emergency repair, we can offer you an “express lead time” option, so that your part can be taken care of in our workshops within 24 to 48 hours.
