What is the purpose of Schaudt’s 3-pin wiring harness?

A motorhome electrical cable connects two or more electronic components of an electrical system in the vehicle. It most often runs from the power plant or electrical block to a control panel, household appliance or energy production equipment. In the case of this 12V harness from Schaudt, the connectors link the electrical block with the solar energy production system. It comprises 3 electrical channels and 2 3-pin connectors compatible with the motorhome’s electrical combination and solar panels. This adapter is used to distribute 12V power between these two elements.

Problems you may encounter on a Schaudt :

Electrical wiring harnesses on motorhomes, caravans, vans and panel vans can become damaged over time. They may be oxidized, broken or, in some cases, cracked. A damaged electrical cable or broken connector can generate a false contact on your electrical equipment. This means that one of the two pieces of equipment is no longer working, as electricity is no longer passing between the power station and the solar panels. If a connector pin or stud is bent or damaged, this can result in poor contact, as the connector is dried out.

Once we have received your approval, we will repair your cable or install a new harness.

You’ll receive it directly in your workshop if you’re a professional, or at home, with a 12-month warranty.

Good to know: our workshops are located near Nantes in France, but we offer repairs throughout France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands… We have a forwarding service to transport your equipment across Europe!

How can I have it repaired? And how much does the repair cost?

To have your customer's electronic box or equipment repaired, we suggest you go to your online online. You'll be able to make a new “service request” and enter all the information about the part and its problem. Our repair services are reserved for professionals.

Transport and delivery: You have the option of using our transport service to ship the faulty part from your company. Once your request has been approved by our team, you'll receive a shipping label to stick on the box in which you've packed your part. In this case, the cost of transporting your part is €34 round trip (€21 one way and €13 return). You can also choose to ship the part yourself, or hand-deliver it to our workshop in Couëron (44).

Repair rates: For repair services, we draw up customized estimates based on the characteristics of your part and the faults or problems encountered. Once the part has been received in our workshops, one of our specialized electronics technicians will draw up a breakdown diagnosis and a repair plan. You will receive your quotation in your customer area and by email. The service will be carried out once your quotation has been signed and paid for.

Warranty: Parts repaired in our workshops are guaranteed for 1 year from the date of repair. This means that if your equipment breaks down again or has a problem within the warranty period, we will pay for transport, any new spare parts and any other services required to keep it running smoothly.

Timescale: On average, we repair your equipment within 72 hours (from the time we receive it to the time it leaves our workshops). For a more precise estimate of your repair service, please consult the “Estimated service time” section. In the event of an emergency repair, we can offer you an “express lead time” option, so that your part can be taken care of in our workshops within 24 to 48 hours.
