What is a CF-35 cooler?

Dometic’s CoolFreeze CF-35 compression cooler is a high-performance portable cooler featuring a hermetic compressor capable of producing cold down to -18°C. With a useful capacity of 31 L, it’s ideal for use in motorhomes, vans, boats or converted vehicles.
Operating on 12/24 V DC and 100-240 V AC, it is compatible with both cigarette-lighter and mains sockets, and can automatically switch between the two power sources. It features a Danfoss BD35F compressor, electronic thermostat, digital display, and built-in protection against undervoltage, reverse polarity and overload.

The most common faults encountered on a CF-35?

One of the most frequent faults on the CF-35 cooler is the absence of a 12V output, totally preventing the compressor from starting up. The result is a cooler that no longer cools, even with the correct power supply.

How to repair a compression cooler?

If your CoolFreeze CF-35 cooler breaks down, consider having it repaired in our specialist workshop. Repairing rather than replacing extends the life of your equipment and reduces electronic waste.

How can I have it repaired? And how much does the repair cost?

To have your customer's electronic box or equipment repaired, we suggest you go to your online online. You'll be able to make a new "service request" and enter all the information about the part and its problem. Our repair services are reserved for professionals.

Transport and delivery: You have the option of using our transport service to ship the faulty part from your company. Once your request has been validated by our team, you'll receive a shipping label to stick on the box in which you've packed your part. In this case, the cost of transporting your part is €34 (excl. VAT) return (€21 (excl. VAT) outward and €13 (excl. VAT) return). You can also choose to ship the part yourself, or hand-deliver it to our workshop in Couëron (44).

Repair rates: For repair services, we draw up customized estimates based on the characteristics of your part and the faults or problems encountered. Once the part has been received in our workshops, one of our specialized electronics technicians will draw up a breakdown diagnosis and a repair plan. You will receive your quotation in your customer area and by email. The service will be carried out once your quotation has been signed and paid for.

Warranty: Parts repaired in our workshops are guaranteed for 1 year from the date of repair. This means that if your equipment breaks down again or has a problem within the warranty period, we will pay for transport, any new spare parts and any other services required to keep it running smoothly.

Timescale: On average, we repair your equipment within 72 hours (from the time we receive it to the time it leaves our workshops). For a more precise estimate of your repair service, please consult the "Estimated service time" section. In the event of an emergency repair, we can offer you an "express lead time" option, so that your part can be taken care of in our workshops within 24 to 48 hours.
