Part description and references
MERCEDES SPRINTER motorhome speedometer repair
How does the meter work on a SPRINTER motorhome?
The speedometer, also known as the instrument cluster or dashboard, is a central element of the driver interface. It groups together several essential indicators: speed, engine speed, fuel level, engine temperature, mileage, warning lights, etc. On the MERCEDES SPRINTER W903 motorhome, this meter is based on an analog display (hands and dials) and sometimes a central screen, controlled by an internal electronic card. This card ensures communication with other electronic modules in the vehicle, such as the engine ECU or the cockpit unit. This meter model is fitted to SPRINTER W903 phase 2 vehicles, produced between 2000 and 2006.
What are the most common faults on a Sprinter motorhome speedo?
SPRINTER W903 meter malfunctions can manifest themselves in several ways:
These faults can be caused by ageing electronic components, a short-circuit, a false contact or a power supply fault.
How do I repair a SPRINTER W903 counter?
At Repturn, we offer a professional solution for repairing faulty meters and dashboards. Our team of specialized technicians is trained in on-board electronics and has all the equipment needed to deal with this type of failure.
Our repair process includes :
How can I have it repaired? And how much does the repair cost?
Transport and delivery: You have the option of using our transport service to ship the faulty part from your company. Once your request has been validated by our team, you will receive a transport label to stick on the box in which you have packed your part. In this case, the cost of transporting your part is €34 excluding VAT round trip (€21 excluding VAT for the outward journey and €13 excluding VAT for the return journey). You can also choose to ship your part yourself, or hand-deliver it to our workshop in Couëron (44).
Repair rates: For repair services, we draw up customized estimates based on the characteristics of your part and the faults or problems encountered. Once the part has been received in our workshops, one of our specialized electronics technicians will draw up a breakdown diagnosis and a repair plan. You will receive your quotation in your customer area and by e-mail. The service will be carried out once your quotation has been signed and paid.
Warranty: Parts repaired in our workshops are guaranteed for 1 year from the date of repair. This means that if your equipment breaks down again or has a problem within the warranty period, we will pay for transport, any new spare parts and any other services required to keep it running smoothly.
Timescale: On average, we repair your equipment within 72 hours (from the time we receive it to the time it leaves our workshops). For a more precise estimate of your repair service, consult the “Estimated service time” section. In the event of an urgent repair, we can offer you an “express lead time” option, so that your part is taken care of in our workshops within 24 to 48 hours.
Customer service : Our customer service team is on hand to answer any technical or practical questions you may have. Our switchboard is open Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 12pm and 2pm to 5pm, on 09 72 10 22 50. You can also contact us by email at info@repturn.com.
