What is the role of a BCM on a van or truck?

The BCM CITROEN, FIAT and PEUGEOT is part of the family of cockpit enclosures. It controls the various functions related to the vehicle’s interior and exterior. It most often manages the car’s door centralization, lighting systems, electric windows, windshield wipers and, in some cases, the horn or dashboard display. Depending on the automaker, it may go by several names: BCM (Body Control Module), BSI (Boîtier de Servitude Intelligent), FRM (Footwell Module), UCH (unité de commande habitacle), Boîtier de confort, Boîtier réseau de bord, SAM (Signal Acquisition and Actuation Module), JBE (junction box electronics) or LCM (Light Control Module).
