Repairing your GARMIN GMI 10 display
What is the role of the GMI 10 GARMIN display unit?
The boat’s central navigation unit allows you to check speed, depth, wind and fuel. A GARMIN display is an essential instrument used in boats equipped with NMEA 0183 or NMEA 2000 instruments to monitor performance in real time.
What are the recurring faults on your GARMIN GMI 10 display?
Recurring faults in a navigation system include a number of electronic-related problems. A frequent problem is a display malfunction. The display can also be subject to malfunctions, such as dead pixels or insufficient illumination, making information difficult to read.
Sensors connected to your display can also be at fault, such as a faulty temperature or oil pressure sensor, resulting in inaccurate data or unjustified alarms. Finally, wear and tear or failure of the power supply can lead to untimely restarts or complete shutdown of the unit.
What is the repair process for the GARMIN GMI 10 display?
Has your navigation system broken down? We can take care of your equipment as quickly as possible. Our GMI 10 display repair process consists of four steps:
If your Volvo Penta Marine meter malfunctions, call on our specialized repair experts to get your unit back in working order.
How can I have it repaired? And how much does the repair cost?
Transport and delivery: You have the option of using our transport service to ship the faulty part from your company. Once your request has been approved by our team, you'll receive a shipping label to stick on the box in which you've packed your part. In this case, the cost of transporting your part is €34 round trip (€21 one way and €13 return). You can also choose to ship the part yourself, or hand-deliver it to our workshop in Couëron (44).
Repair rates: For repair services, we draw up customized estimates based on the characteristics of your part and the faults or problems encountered. Once the part has been received in our workshops, one of our specialized electronics technicians will draw up a breakdown diagnosis and a repair plan. You will receive your quotation in your customer area and by e-mail. The service will be carried out once your quotation has been signed and paid.
Warranty: Parts repaired in our workshops are guaranteed for 1 year from the date of repair. This means that if your equipment breaks down again or has a problem within the warranty period, we will pay for transport, any new spare parts and any other services required to keep it running smoothly.
Timescale: On average, we repair your equipment within 72 hours (from the time we receive it to the time it leaves our workshops). For a more precise estimate of your repair service, please consult the “Estimated service time” section. In the event of an emergency repair, we can offer you an “express lead time” option, so that your part can be taken care of in our workshops within 24 to 48 hours.
Customer service : Our customer service team is on hand to answer any technical or practical questions you may have. Our switchboard is open Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 12pm and 2pm to 5pm, on 09 72 10 22 50. You can also contact us by email at info@repturn.com.
