What is a Cramer BU7 electric block?

The BU7 power pack from CRAMER meets the energy needs of motorhomes and vans. Similar to an electrical block or circuit board, it supplies electricity and distributes power to motorhome appliances such as the refrigerator, TV, lighting and air conditioning. It also performs the functions of a battery charger, making this box a “combined charger/distributor”. These 2 functions ensure the safety and efficiency of the vehicle’s electrical system.
This model BU7 electric block is fitted to various makes of older-generation motorhomes.

What are the most common faults encountered on a Cramer BU7 power pack?

At Repturn, we’re used to encountering charging problems on the BU7 power plant. The most frequent faults are :

Battery charging problems

The cell battery no longer charges when the motorhome engine is started. This is a coupling failure, which causes problems with the power supply to the electrical block. The function that allows the battery to charge while the vehicle is moving no longer works.

Malfunctions on the 12V electrical outlets leading to the motorhome’s electrical appliances.

Total failure of the power plant, resulting in faults throughout the motorhome’s electrical system.

If your CRAMER Power Station has one of these faults, we’ve got the solution! Have your BU7 repaired by our team of electronics technicians. By choosing to repair your part, you avoid throwing it away and buying an expensive new part, the production of which will be harmful to the environment.

Our repair services involve taking charge of your electronic box directly in our workshops. Our technical teams will carry out a complete diagnosis of your part’s functions, repair defective components and perform preventive maintenance on damaged or worn components. Our services come with a 1-year warranty on motorhome, van and van parts.

How can I have it repaired? And how much does the repair cost?

To have your customer's electronic box or equipment repaired, we suggest you go to your online online. You can then make a new "service request" and enter all the information about the part and its problem. Our repair services are reserved for professionals.

Transport and delivery: You have the option of using our transport service to ship the faulty part from your company. Once your request has been validated by our team, you'll receive a shipping label to stick on the box in which you've packed your part. In this case, the cost of transporting your part is €34 round trip (€21 one way and €13 return). You can also choose to ship the part yourself, or hand-deliver it to us in Couëron (44).

Repair rates: For repair services, we draw up customized estimates based on the characteristics of your part and the breakdowns or problems encountered. Once the part has been received and diagnosed in our workshops, you will receive your quotation in your customer area and by email. The service will be carried out once your quotation has been validated.

Warranty: Parts repaired in our workshops are guaranteed for 1 year from the date of repair. This means that if your equipment breaks down again or has a problem within the warranty period, we will pay for transport, any new spare parts and any other services required to keep it running smoothly.
